Over the past year we have examined client and stakeholder feedback, as well as the new service delivery framework from MYCS (Moving on Mental Health). In order to be responsive to the feedback and information provided we have focused on redesigning our service flow to better meet client needs. The new service model has all the same components as the old model, but the order in which they occur has changed to create a better client experience.
The changes include: All calls for service to 519-749-2932 will be answered by a mental health professional. They will not necessarily be answered live, but voicemails will be returned in a timely fashion. The purpose of this change will be to ensure the quick and accurate triage of calls to emergency, urgent and regular service. The majority of clients with regular service requirements (intake assessment or Walk-In) will be directed to Walk-in. Exceptions will be made for clients where Walk-in does not present a viable option.
Visit our Walk-in and Township Services page for more information.
Walk-in will serve as the primary access point for the services offered through Front Door, Joint Initiatives, and Carizon and Lutherwood’s Children’s Mental Health programs. If you are a professional making a referral for a family, please direct them to attend one of the above Walk-In sessions, or call the number above if other arrangements are required.
